Your own sign-in, under your brand
Give your sites their own reader accounts, separate from the shared Allspice sign-in, with your name and logos.

Overview
By default, readers sign in with a shared Allspice account that works on every Allspice site. An ecosystem gives your sites their own separate sign-in instead: readers who create an account on one of your ecosystem's sites get an account that belongs to your ecosystem, works across your ecosystem's sites, and isn't part of the shared Allspice account pool.
- An ecosystem can include up to 100 of your domains. Each domain can belong to one ecosystem.
- An account can have up to 5 ecosystems.
- Sites in an ecosystem are shown under your brand. Your ecosystem's logos replace Allspice's in the widget.
Ecosystem is a paid add-on, set up with you by the Allspice team.
What readers see
- Sign-in: readers create an account and sign in with email and password. The account works on your ecosystem's sites only.
- Existing Allspice accounts don't carry over. A reader with a shared Allspice account creates a new account on your ecosystem.
- Branding: your ecosystem's wordmark and square mark appear in place of Allspice's, including on the account prompt in the chat.
- Account prompts tell readers that an account saves their recipes, groceries, and more on your sites, rather than across all Allspice sites.
- Legal pages: readers see the Ecosystem Terms of Service and Ecosystem Privacy Policy.
- Chat allowance: the same monthly allowance as other sites (see Reader access).
Getting an ecosystem
- In the Publisher Portal, click Ecosystem in the sidebar.
- Click Request your ecosystem, or schedule a call directly.
- We'll email you to agree on pricing and set it up with you. Nothing is billed until you've agreed to it.
- Once your ecosystem is active, an owner or admin accepts the Ecosystem Services Addendum (Agree & Continue). Until then you can't change the configuration, add domains, or view users. Reader sign-in isn't affected.
If you have more than one ecosystem, use the Editing switcher at the top of the Ecosystem pages to choose which one you're working on. Request another ecosystem is in the same place.
Configuration
The Configuration tab sets how your ecosystem is named and branded. A preview updates as you type.

Logos upload as soon as you choose them. For the other fields, click Save changes; you can save once the name, sender name, and both logos are set.
Domains
The Domains tab lists every domain on your account. Domains join an ecosystem one at a time.
- Join ecosystem - the domain's readers start signing in with your ecosystem. The change applies right away; you don't need to sync the plugin.
- Leave ecosystem - accounts created in your ecosystem stop working on that site, and readers there are signed out. New sign-ins go back to the shared Allspice account. Readers keep their ecosystem accounts, and rejoining the domain restores their access.
- A domain that's already in another ecosystem shows In {other ecosystem} and can't be joined.
To add a domain that isn't listed, add and verify it under Integrate first (see Domain linking). Domains held by another account can't be added yet.
Users
The Users tab lists every reader who has created an account in your ecosystem, with their email, first and last name, sign-in provider, date joined, and last active date. It shows 25 readers per page and has a search box.
- Export CSV downloads the list (up to 10,000 readers).
- Last active is only recorded from the Allspice app, so most readers show a dash.

Per-site settings
Each domain in an ecosystem gets an Ecosystem card on its General tab (Integrate → click the domain):

Set a custom account prompt title and subtitle on each site. The standard prompt text still mentions an Allspice account.
What's different on ecosystem sites
- Sign-in: readers sign in with an account that belongs to your ecosystem, using email and password. Google and Apple sign-in aren't available.
- Branding: your ecosystem's logos replace Allspice's in the widget.
- Reader data stays in your ecosystem: readers' email addresses, profiles, and saved recipes aren't shared with any other publisher, and readers from other publishers can't sign in to your sites.
- Access to customer information: the Ecosystem Services Addendum gives your organization access to customer information associated with your ecosystem, including the reader list on the Users tab.
